When the delay or cancellation is Breeze's fault

These commitments apply when the cause is within the airline's control, such as maintenance, crew or its own systems. See controllable vs. uncontrollable delays.

Rebooking on Breeze

Breeze may offer rebooking on the first Breeze flight with seats available to your original destination. Itinerary changes are made without charge or fare difference when affected by a canceled flight, a modified flight, an eligible schedule change, or a delay exceeding 2 hours from the original departure time.

Updated itinerary must have the same departure and arrival airports and be rebooked within 14 days of the original departure date. Contract of carriage updated March 20, 2025.

Rebooking on another airline Not committed

With limited exceptions and at Breeze's sole discretion, Breeze will not reimburse Guests for flights booked on other carriers.

Meals Not committed

Breeze does not commit to meals or meal vouchers. Limited electronic vouchers and/or expense reimbursement may be provided solely as a courtesy.

Not offered when the cause is severe weather, air traffic control or other issues outside Breeze's control.

Hotel Not committed

Breeze does not commit to hotel accommodations. Limited electronic vouchers and/or expense reimbursement may be provided solely as a courtesy.

Not offered when the cause is severe weather, air traffic control or other issues outside Breeze's control.

Transport to and from the hotel Not committed

Breeze does not commit to ground transportation to or from a hotel.

Credits, points or vouchers Not committed

No committed credit. Breeze may issue credits or limited electronic vouchers as a courtesy and is under no obligation to do so.

Guest Service Plan (effective September 8, 2023): efforts may include rescheduling flights and/or issuing credits or refunds.

Cash compensation Not committed

No cash compensation. For a significantly delayed or changed flight Guests may be entitled to a refund consistent with DOT regulations.

No expense reimbursement or additional compensation beyond DOT requirements when the cause is outside Breeze's control.

When the cause is weather or air traffic control

For disruptions outside Breeze's control, expect rebooking on Breeze's own flights and little else: the meal, hotel and compensation commitments above generally do not apply. Ask anyway about discounted hotel rates, and check whether your own trip delay cover pays. If you are not sure the cause really is weather, see how to check.

Refunds

Whatever the cause, if Breeze cancels your flight, or delays or changes it significantly (three hours or more domestic, six or more international), and you choose not to travel, you are entitled to a refund to your original form of payment under US rules. You do not have to accept a credit instead. See the DOT refund rule.

Tarmac delays

These match the federal rules. See tarmac delay rules.
