Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the LateGate mobile application ("App") or visiting lategate.app ("Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use LateGate.

LateGate is operated by LateGate ("we", "us", or "our"). These Terms apply to all users of the App and Site.

LateGate is a flight disruption concierge that helps passengers navigate delays and cancellations. The App provides:

• Flight status monitoring and push-notification alerts
• Information on airline delay compensation rights
• Rebooking options and links to partner booking services
• Nearby alternate airport suggestions
• General travel tips and disruption guidance

LateGate is an information and referral service. We do not operate airlines, sell tickets directly, or guarantee any particular outcome for your journey.

Specifically, you acknowledge and agree that:

• Third-party data sources. All flight status information — including departure times, delays, cancellations, and gate assignments — is sourced from external data providers (including but not limited to Airlabs and the FAA). LateGate does not generate or independently verify this data.
• Alert triggering. Push notifications and flight alerts are triggered automatically based on signals received from those third-party providers. The timing and content of alerts is dependent on when those providers update their data feeds, which is outside our control.
• Data latency. Flight data may be older than the current status of your flight. A status shown in the App may not yet reflect a gate change, late-breaking delay, or cancellation that has just been announced.
• No guarantee of delivery. Push notifications depend on device settings, operating system delivery, and network connectivity. We cannot guarantee that every alert will be delivered or delivered on time.
• Airport and gate conditions prevail. Information at the airport, on official airline communications, and at your departure gate is always the authoritative source. Where any conflict exists between LateGate and those sources, the airport and airline information takes precedence.

LateGate shall not be liable for any loss, cost, or inconvenience arising from reliance on flight data or alerts that prove to be inaccurate, delayed, or incomplete.

LateGate earns referral commissions when you book travel products (flights, car rentals, hotels, and similar services) through links in the App. These links may direct you to third-party platforms including, but not limited to, Aviasales, Klook, and services distributed through Travelpayouts.

When you click an affiliate link:

• You leave the LateGate App and are subject to the terms and privacy policy of the destination platform.
• Any booking, payment, or contract is between you and that third-party provider — not LateGate.
• LateGate is not responsible for pricing accuracy, availability, or the fulfilment of any booking made through a partner platform.
• Affiliate links do not affect the price you pay.

LateGate provides general information about passenger compensation rights (for example, under EU Regulation 261/2004, US DOT rules, and similar frameworks) as an educational guide only. This information:

• Does not constitute legal advice.
• May not reflect the most current regulations in your jurisdiction.
• May not account for your specific circumstances, airline, route, or ticket type.

You should verify your rights with the relevant airline or a qualified legal adviser before taking action.

Some features require you to create an account, either via email and password or Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

You must be at least 13 years of age to use LateGate. By creating an account you represent that you meet this requirement.

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the App or its backend services.
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the App or its API.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our systems.

All content in the App and on the Site — including the LateGate name, logo, design, text, and software — is the property of LateGate or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of LateGate without our prior written consent.

The App and all content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that flight data will be accurate, complete, or up to date.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LateGate shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including missed flights, rebooking costs, accommodation costs, or any other travel-related expenses — arising from your use of or reliance on the App, flight data, or alerts.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) €100.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of competent jurisdiction in the territory in which LateGate is registered.
